How to Calibrate Your New 3D Printers Glass Bed

  1. Load the glass plate into the 3D printer base and attach with the silver clips provided.
  2. Center both the bed and nozzle.
  3. Lower the nozzle until it touches the top of the glass bed. 
  4. Readjust the Z axis homing switch. 
  5. Loosen the switches and reposition. 
  6. Tighten up the switches when correctly aligned. 
  7. Carry out a print calibration check to re-adjust the bed.

  1. the Glass is warped… I was very excited to get these glass beds in due to I have some slight warping of my ender 3 beds. I have 5 printers and ordered two packs of these glass beds due to one of my printers has a hardware store glass bed. The excitement wore off almost immediately, I installed the glass beds and attempted to level the bed. I found that these glass beds while they look nice and flat… they are not. There are multiple irregularities in the glass from center low spots to random low spots. The only…

  2. Very smooth glass print bed Bought this after printing PETG melted the plastic sheet over my aluminum bed.Works good with some surface binder, like watered down elmers glue sticks. I couldn’t get spacing right to run without gluesticks, and needing prints out I quit troubleshooting that in the interest of getting project parts.After 40 prints I can say that I get consistent results that I am happy with. I also like the shiny surface that the bottom of the print receives from the glass bed.Haven’t needed…

  3. These are a bargain at $25 for two pieces of flat glass that fit the Ender 3 bed perfectly. I used chemical etching on the surface on one side of the glass to help give it some “tooth” for adhesion. So far it’s been working really well. For multiple pieces that require most of the bed surface, I still spray a thin coat of hairspray for piece of mind… considering these are all 8-12 hour prints that have a fine mesh facing. Very difficult prints for a budget machine like the Ender 3 but this…
